Your eyes closed, your chest slowly moving with every beat of your breath; Your lips slightly parted as if about to whisper out a tale; Your hand under your cheek and your head rested there. It’s like the chaos of the day is lifted, Carried off with the sun. And now the moon brings you respite. And you, a spirit of the night, are drawn off to the lands of slumber To seek out dreams wherever they hide, coo them out of their hiding places And bring them into reality.
You’re so cute when you sleep. You mumble something unintelligible and smile. A tiny little smile, And move a little closer. What is going on in that pretty head, To what lands have you flown? Of which adventures do you partake? What music fills your dreams, your soul as you wander the night? I can’t help but wonder.
You’re so cute when you sleep. And I never want to wake you. So, I’ll just join you, And hopefully, Somewhere out there, In the sandman’s domain, We’ll meet, we’ll laugh, we’ll kiss, we’ll tour this mad land together And in the morning we’ll wake, And I won’t be able to wait to watch you sleep again So I can smile again Because: You’re so cute when you sleep
